Who We Are

Hi! We're Nate and Leilani, two Colorado outdoor enthusiasts who have always dreamed of owning an A-frame cabin in the mountains. In March 2026, that dream became reality when we purchased a 3-acre property nestled in an aspen grove near Kenosha Pass.

Our Airbnb goal is simple: create the kind of getaway we'd want to experience. That’s why we’re putting so much hard work into our cabin ourselves. We work full-time jobs during the week and spend our weekends renovating.

Whether you'll be here to explore nearby trails, watch the aspens change color, relax in the hot tub under the stars, or just unplug for a few days, we hope the Kenosha Cabin becomes your home away from home.

While we can’t wait to welcome you soon, we're still hard at work demolishing, hauling, spackling, sanding, priming, painting, sawing, drilling, staining, building, decorating, furnishing, and so much more.

Meet Your Hosts

Nate works as a senior software engineer during the week and serves as the Kenosha Cabin’s lead renovator on the weekends. From coding to carpentry, he’s a true jack-of-all-trades. When he’s not working, you can find him volunteering with mountain search & rescue, playing guitar, or running.

A Coloradan through and through, Nate grew up in Colorado Springs, attended the University of Colorado Boulder, and backpacked the entire Colorado Trail at age 19. Owning an A-frame cabin in the Colorado mountains is the perfect culmination of a lifelong love for the state.

Leilani works full-time as a communications specialist in Denver. When she’s not renovating the Kenosha Cabin, she handles all things marketing and digital storytelling, from creating social media content and writing blog posts (coming soon!) to maintaining the website and building partnerships.

Though she was born in New Zealand, Leilani has spent most of her life in Colorado. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, writing, backpacking, running, and traveling. Having stayed in more than 50 Airbnbs around the world, she’s excited to bring some of her favorite guest experiences to the Kenosha Cabin.

Our Story

Leilani and Nate take a selfie outdoors while holding Acadia in front of them, with trees and water in the background on a sunny day.

We met at 18 years old, the day before classes started at the University of Colorado Boulder, and became fast friends after bonding over a shared spirit of adventure.

In March 2026, after nine years together, five years of marriage, and one extremely spoiled dog, we purchased our dream cabin property and named it Kenosha Cabin, inspired by the beautiful mountain pass nearby. What began as a far-fetched dream discussed on hikes and road trips finally became a reality: a place to slow down, gather with loved ones, explore the Colorado outdoors, and share the experience with guests from around the world.
